Kodakara Grama Panchayat became the first in the state to achieve 100% property tax collection in a single ward (Ward 7) during the 2026-27 financial year.
'Nirmalam' – A People's Campaign for a Clean Kerala in the New Era

As part of the inauguration of the statewide public campaign "Nirmalam Puthuyuga Suchithwa Keralam" (Clean New-Age Hygienic Kerala) for a waste-free new-age Kerala, a declaration rally was held in Kodakara Grama Panchayat. The rally was inaugurated by Vice President Smt. Pranila Girishan. Development Standing Committee Chairman Sri. Vinayan Thottappilly, Welfare Standing Committee Chairperson Smt. Mini Dasan, ward members, Panchayat Assistant Secretary Sunil Kumar M.A., Panchayat officials, MGNREGS (employment guarantee) members, and Haritha Karma Sena (green task force) members participated in the declaration rally.
